GREENVILLE, N.C. – Florida Atlantic men's golf (-22) leads the Ironwood Collegiate Classic entering Tuesday's final round. Led by graduate seniors
Alex Maguire (-7) and
Max Sturdza (-4), the Owls have a one-shot edge over hosts East Carolina.

- In his first event of the fall season, Maguire posted rounds of 66 and 68 to finish 36 holes in -10.
- Maguire's 36-hole total of 134 tied the program record set on two separate occasions by Steve LeBrun in 1999-00.
- The Irishman actually got off to a slow start on Monday. Starting on the eighth hole, he bogeyed three of his four holes.
- The tide turned at the 12th however and he would go on to birdie nine of the next 12.
- He would add another five birdies in the afternoon round to enter Tuesday four shots behind ECU's Lucas Augustsson (-14) in the medal competition.
- Max Sturdza posted rounds of 71 and 66 on Monday and is solo fourth heading into Tuesday.
- Sturdza recorded three birdies and an eagle in round one and added another five birdies and another eagle in round two.
- All five of the Owls' countable scores are even par or better after 36 holes.

Tuesday's shotgun start will once again be 9 a.m. The Owls will be paired with East Carolina and Radford.
