Owls End In A Draw Against UNT

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's soccer ended in a Sunday afternoon draw against the Mean Green of UNT.
Prior to the match, the three seniors Heather Squitieri, Mia Sennes, and Molly Setsma were recognized for Senior Day.
On the hot Sunday afternoon, the match remained scoreless through the first half. In the 61st minute of the match, UNT scored to take the lead. Ten minutes later the Owls found the back of the net as Simonardottir scored her fifth goal of the season to tie the match 1-1. The goal in the 71st minute was assisted by Simone Rivard-Roberts and Drew Dempsey.
Goalkeeper Lexi Gonzalez recorded four saves today. Gonzalez now has a total of 25 saves on the season.
