Owls Lead the Pack after Day One in Texas

MONTGOMERY CITY, Texas – The Florida Atlantic men's golf team is tied for the team lead after 36 holes at the Bayou City Collegiate hosted by Rice University. Junior Alex Maguire is five-under and leading the medal competition by three shots with 18 holes to play on Tuesday.

Maguire will be looking for his first career victory after rounds of 69 and 70 on Monday
The Irishman circled five birdies in the first round and added another four plus an eagle in round two
Max Sturdza opened with 77 but moved up 22 spots after a second round 70. He's tied for 13th heading into Tuesday
