Brok, Morris Named First Ever C-USA Pair of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. – In the inaugural season of Conference USA beach volleyball, court one pair Erica Brok and Mackenzie Morris of the No. 12 ranked Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team have been tabbed C-USA Pair of the Week. Brok and Morris will go down as the league's first ever Pair of the Week honorees. This marks the pair's third Conference Pair of the Week award, earning the previous two while members of the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association.

The Owls began the 2022 season at the FSU Beach Bash. Brok and Morris ended the weekend with a 3-1 record. The pair took down the No. 1 pair from No. 3-ranked Florida State in three sets (20-22, 21-19, 28-26), which included that exhausting point-by-point third set. The pair tallied the second point of the Owls' match versus UAB on court one to win in straight sets (23-21, 21-16) and began day one of the tournament with a straight-set win over Southern Miss (21-17, 21-14). Brok and Morris were instrumental in the Owls' two sweeps over C-USA opponents this weekend. The pair now has 74 career wins as a pair and continue to elevate their school record.

FAU is geared up to host the FAU Beach Burrow Bash this weekend, Friday, March 4 to Saturday, March 5. The Owls will host Austin Peay, (RV) Florida Gulf Coast, Palm Beach Atlantic and UNCW. FAU's first match will be a date with FGCU at 10 a.m.
