GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team competed in day one of the Florida Gators VyStar Invitational on Saturday. As a team, the Owls stand in 13th place with a 12 over par team score. The tournament marks the spring opener for the FAU Owls.
Leading the way for the Owls after round two is Alex Maguire. Maguire was right on par (70) in both the first and second rounds and ended the day with a 140, which is tied for 21st on the leaderboard out of 78 golfers.
Juan Delgado sits tied for 28th with a one-over par score after the second round. Guilherme Grinberg stands at five over par with a 145, and right behind him is Max Sturdza at six over.
The VyStar Invitational will wrap up with the final 18 holes on Sunday.
