Shepherd Named CCSA Diver of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Following a dominant first place finish at the Patriot Invitational, the FAU men's swimming & diving team have been rewarded for their efforts with another CCSA weekly award. The Coastal Collegiate Sports Association announced on Tuesday afternoon that Brandon Shepherd won diver of the week. This marks the seventh weekly award of the season for Florida Atlantic.
For the sophomore Shepherd, this is his third diver of the week award of the season and eighth of his career. His weekend was highlighted by placing in second in the 3-meter dive with a score of 276.45. He also scored 232.30 on the 1-meter dive to finish in fifth place after a personal best score of 273.70 to place second in the preliminary round.
The Patriot Invitational marked the midseason point for the Owls. Select swimmers are next set to compete at the Toyota U.S. Open from Nov. 30 - Dec. 3, where they will have a chance to qualify for the Olympics.
