HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Day One of the Low Country Intercollegiate went flawlessly for the Florida Atlantic University women's golf team, which comfortably sits first as a team with three top-10 individuals.
Justine Fournand (69) is currently the tournament leader, with
Blanka Decker (72) and
Kacey Walker (74) joining her in the top-10 at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively.
Rosa Barnak is tied for 16
th with a 76 and
Olivia Bergner is tied for 39
th with a 79.
The 69 Fournand posted in Round One is tied for her third lowest score personally and seventh best in program history.
If FAU holds its six-stroke lead through the second round to win, coach
Aimee Neff would tie Mary Guadagnino for second all-time in FAU wins with two. An individual win from the sophomore Fournand would be her second, tying her for the fifth most in program history.
