BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming & diving team swept the weekly CCSA awards, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Rateb Hussein was named CCSA Swimmer of the Week, while
Brandon Shepherd earned CCSA Diver of the Week honors.
Hussein receives his second straight CCSA Swimmer of the Week Honor and third of the year. In the Owls' meet against Princeton, the junior led the way for FAU with a first-place finish in the 200 fly (1:50.12). He also swam a leg on the 200 free relay (1:24.04) and 200 medley relay (1:33.08) teams that captured second place.
Shepherd tallies his second CCSA Diver of the Week honor of the season. The freshman posted a score of 256.43 in the 1-meter dive to capture seventh place against Princeton. Shepherd also received the Diver of the Week award the week of Sept. 28.
This marks the fifth and sixth weekly CCSA awards that the FAU men's swimming & diving team has been named to this year.
The Owls are back in the pool this Saturday for the Alumni and Family Meet.
