Head coach Patrick Baker on the win:
"The first 30 minutes had a lot of energy and we showed some good ideas (though we) could have refined the final pass on a number of sequences. In our first two games, we had faced a 3-5-2 and against Lynn, it was a 4-4-2 tight diamond – good to see our young players work against a different system. The demands of the game brought out different performances for our group and it good to see who could be consistent in game environments.
"The second 30 minutes was a really good segment for us; ball circulation was better and we started to create a little bit more. We managed about four breakaways to start the second 30 minutes and got to the end line a number of different times. Our forwards started to get into back space and get clean looks at goal. After the third goal, we took our foot off the gas a bit and Tiril Haga's second goal was a nice lift to end the segment.
"We ended up winning the game 5-0, scored some quality goals and kept our first clean sheet of the spring. Gi Krstec was lively all evening and her efforts were rewarded with an emphatic goal with eight minutes to go. Proud of the girls' continued development and how they continue to
grow as a young group. Made it through injury-free and everyone got a lot of valuable game minutes. I'm impressed with how a number of our players are embracing and excelling in new positions, it will bode well for the future. Great night in Paradise."
