Women's Golf Team Values: Kacey Walker

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 2020-21 Florida Atlantic University women's golf team has instilled three player-voted team values: responsibility, sportsmanship and discipline. Coach Aimee Neff's squad hopes to embody those values throughout the season.
This series will document the reasons why FAU's golfers chose the values they did, in their own words.
Kacey Walker, a junior transfer from East Florida State College, shares her thoughts this week:Â
"Hi, my name is Kacey Walker and I'm a member of the women's golf team here at FAU, and today I'm here to discuss the three core values we've established as a team at the beginning of the season. These three values include sportsmanship, responsibility and discipline. I would say, of the three, that my favorite would have to be sportsmanship because I think it's extremely important that we hold each other to a higher standard out on the golf course, on campus, and everywhere else in life. And that includes being kind, supportive and really present for not only our teammates but for our other competitors as well. I think that discipline really encourages us to be present and ready to complete all tasks, regardless of the day that we're having. And responsibility, I think, really ties in both sportsmanship and discipline really well because we have a responsibility that we've committed to. And it's not only for our stake but for the sake of our teammates that we show up on time and we're there for each other whenever we need to be."
