Men’s and Women’s Basketball season ticket renewals underway
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Make sure you don't miss a minute of Florida Atlantic men's and women's basketball this season at Abessinio Court at FAU Arena by renewing your season tickets today.
Season ticket renewals are underway for both men's and women's basketball. For existing season ticket holders to renew your seats click HEREto make your purchase and seat selections. For FAU fans interested in becoming men's or women's basketball season ticket holder you can check out all of the options for men's basketball HERE and women's basketball HERE.
The FAU men's basketball team is coming off a phenomenal season under the guidance of first-year head coach Dusty May. Last season, the Owls posted nonconference wins over UCF and Illinois and earned a berth in the CollegeInsider Tournament (CIT) for just the third postseason appearance in school history. There will be plenty of familiar faces as eight players from last year's team are back, including Jailyn Ingram, who led the team in scoring and rebounding before he was injured. Jailyn is a likely preseason All-CUSA selection for the upcoming year. Additionally, Michael Forrest from nearby Broward County is entering his sophomore year and has made great strides in all aspects of his game.
The FAU women's team under the direction of veteran coach Jim Jabir has 11 newcomers, including seven freshmen, three transfers and a junior college enrollee. Crystal Primm, daughter of assistant coach Terry Primm, has joined the team as a graduate transfer from Auburn. She will be eligible for the 2019-20 season and she adds talent to our roster we haven't had in the past. Freshman Lotta Vehka-aho earned MVP honors at the U20 FIBA European Championship after averaging 18.5 points and 3.5 assists per game and overall five newcomers were invited to play with their national teams this summer.
