FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team wrapped up the Mason Rudolph Championship on Sunday with a 15th place showing.
"It was good to see Justine play solid and great to see her birdie her last hole today to shoot 71. We have a ways to go as a team, but this was a premiere college tournament and I think opened our eyes to what it takes to get to that next level. We will work hard to prepare for the Jupiter Women's Invitational in a few weeks. We have a fair amount of youth with four underclassmen competing this week and I am thankful for the opportunity and experience it gave us. We will be better for it!"
- The Owls carded a 305 on the day, putting them in 15th place overall. They finished just one stroke back from 14th placed Middle Tennessee
- Justine Fournand was the top Owl for the weekend, finishing tied for 23rd overall. She had her best round of the tournament on Sunday, shooting a 71
- Rosa Barnak finished tied for 56th place, carding a 76 on the final day
- Arielle Keating made moves with her a pair of 75's in the final two rounds of the tournament. She finished tied for 69th
- Kim Egozi shot an 83 for the final day and Kayla Longo carded a 90
The Owls will take a few weeks off before continuing the fall season with the Jupiter Women's Invitational. FAU will be the host school for that tournament and the championship runs October 14 and 15.
