FAU Athletics Celebrates Successful Fundraising Year

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University athletic department concluded a highly successful fundraising year during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. In 2018-19, FAU athletics giving totals grew to 630% of the previous year's fundraising total.The Paradise Club, FAU athletics' annual fund, grew to 275% in dollars raised of the previous years total and by 25% in total membership.

"We couldn't be more grateful for the incredible generosity of our donors," said vice president and director of athletics Brian White."Their passion for FAU athletics and our tremendous student-athletes is truly inspirational. Philanthropic donations are absolutely critical for us to achieve our highly ambitious goals and we are very excited about our continued momentum in this area. The generosity of our donors helps us provide a first-class experience for our student-athletes, coaches and administrators and we can't thank them enough for their support."

Spearheaded by Deputy AD Ryan Alpert and his staff of Michael Graffin and Alvin Hines, FAU athletics raised $5.9 million dollars. There are numerous ways to support FAU athletics as showcased in the variety of gifts received over the course of the 2018-19 fiscal year. FAU athletics saw transformational gifts to help upgrade facilities, gifts committed to support full scholarships for student-athletes and also had donors pledge to name offices and rooms in the new Schmidt Family Complex for Academic and Athletic Excellence set to open early in 2020.

The mission of The Paradise Club is to strengthen FAU's athletic programs by encouraging private giving to support the athletic department's mission. By becoming a contributor, or by maintaining your contribution in support of the Paradise Club, you help support one of the most vibrant and growing brands in college athletics. Contributions made to the Paradise Club provide the financial framework that makes our mission to Win it RIGHT possible through scholarships, academic and medical services and facilities.
