Men's Golf Stands in Second Place Heading into Final Round of FAU Spring Championship

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team continued its strong play on day two of the FAU Spring Championship on Saturday. The Owls momentarily took first place, before settling into sole possession of second at the end of the second round. As a unit, FAU shot 279 on the day to finish 11-under par heading into the final day of the tournament just four strokes back from first-place UCF.

Round three of the Championship will get underway on Sunday at 8 a.m. FAU will begin teeing off at 9:40 a.m. Fans wanting to keep up with the final day of the tournament may do so using Golfstat.

The Owls shot 279 for the second round and have a total score of 565 (-11) through the two days. All Owl golfers competing towards the team score recorded a par or better score on Saturday
Sully Zagerman continued to lead the Owls, carding a 70 on Saturday to push his score to 5-under for the tournament. He heads into the final day tied for third place
Lynes Behling capped the second round off with an eagle on hole 18 to card a 69 for the day. He stands 4-under for the tournament and is tied for seventh place
Eric Dekarski started the second round on fire, shooting four birdies through the front nine. He carded a 70 for the day to head into the final round 1-under and tied for 16th place
Karan Nalam bounced back on Saturday to card a 70, taking five-strokes off his day one score. He stands at 1-over going into the final day
Patrick Poate finished even par for the second round to bring his score to 1-over after two rounds
Bruce Morrison, Jr. shot a 70 on day two and Brian Dolehide carded a 78. Morrison and Dolehide are competing as individuals in the tournament
