SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team fell to UTSA 86-74 despite Anthony Adger's first career double-double and a career high 14 points from Kevaughn Ellis on Saturday. The Owls are now 14-11 and 5-7 in Conference USA.
The Start
Both teams were sluggish offensively before the Roadrunners (15-10, 9-3) scored eight in a row to go up 14-7. The Owls didn't let UTSA get away and eventually took a 27-26 lead after an Adger triple. The score was tied 37-37 when the Roadrunners scored nine unanswered points before an Aleksandar Zecevic layup made the score 46-39 at the break.
The Turning Point
FAU began the second half on a 14-7 run, capped by a Xavian Stapleton jumper that tied the score at 53 less than five minutes into the frame. The Roadrunners responded with 16 straight points to go up 69-53.
The Finish
The lead stretched to as many as 20 late in the contest. FAU made a modest run late to account for the final score.

· Anthony Adger posted his first career double-double with 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds
· Kevaughn Ellis scored a career-high 14 points to lead the Owls
· Michael Forrest tallied 14 points and dished out a team-high four assists
· Aleksandar Zecevic had 11 points and grabbed four rebounds
· Simeon Lepichev collected 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds, giving the Owls five players in double figures
