FAIRFAX, Va. – Florida Atlantic University swimming and diving finished up day two of three of the Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason University. The men jumped two places in the standings and are currently in second (505.5 points), after capturing two first place times, three second place finishes and a new school record and NCAA B-cut time claimed by Rateb Hussein in the 100 fly (47.31). On the women's side, the team is now in second place (564 points) and finished the day with one first place, three second place and two third place titles.

Notables
Women
- In the women's 1-meter final, Malvina Catalano (290.85) and Alicia Mora (284.55) finished in first and second, respectively
- The women's team got finals started with a second place showing in the 200 medley relay. Abby Marshall, Fatimah Westbrook, Spence Atkins and Mackenzie Brown were behind the 1:42.21 finish
- Westbrook captured bronze in the 100 breaststroke with a lifetime best time of 1:03.05
- Marshall tallied third in the 100 back with a time of 55.50
- The 800 free relay team of Atkins, Sarah Martin, Kirsten Hobson and Sharon Kok captured silver in the event (7:32.54)
- Michael Cannatelli scored second (309.80) in the men's 3-meter finals with a new lifetime best score
- Jack Shapiro claimed the proverbial silver in the 400 IM with a new lifetime best time of 4:00.40
- Hussein broke the 100 fly school record in the prelims, capturing a time of 48.45. He would later best that time in finals, touching the wall at 47.31 for first place, a meet record and an NCAA B-Cut time. Hussein broke an eight-year-old record previously held by Mikolaj Czarnecki
- Braedan Leach came up big in the 100 back, claiming second with a new lifetime best time of 49.68
- The men's team ended the night on a high note, capturing first place in the 800 free relay with Hussein, Connor Smoak, Clay Riemenschneider and Josh Fountain being behind the 6:38.18 finish
- Cannatelli: 3-Meter Finals (313.30)

- Hussein: 100 Fly Finals (47.31)
- Juan Imposimato: 100 Fly Prelims (51.52) – tied with LTB, 100 Back Finals (50.49)
- Quinn LaCoursiere: 100 Breast Prelims (56.18)
- Leach: 100 Back Finals (49.68)
- Haley O'Meara: 100 Breast Prelims (1:03.70)
- Riemenschneider: 200 Free Finals (1:40.08)
- Dominique Sauger: 100 Back Prelims (57.34)
- Shapiro: 400 IM Finals (4:00.04)
