Owls in First After Day Two of the Pat Bradley Tournament

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team took a big step on Monday, taking over the top spot at the 42nd Annual Pat Bradley Invitational, hosted by FIU, at the Lakewood Ranch Golf Club in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The Owls are sitting at -1 through two rounds and will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning for the third and final round.
The Owls shot a 285 on Sunday and 290 on Monday to enter the clubhouse with a two-round team score of 575. While the five-stroke drop seemed high, it was consistent throughout the 17-team field. FGCU and Stetson are even for the tournament and just one stroke behind FAU. Tournament host, FIU, at 579, +3.
Individually, Justine Fournand sits atop the leaderboard after bettering her first-round score of 68 by tying a school record with a 67. Her two-day score of 135 (-9) is four strokes better than two players tied at five under.

Day Two Results
- Fournand leads the tournament at -9 (68-67 – 135)
- Fellow freshman Kim Egozi shot a 70 in round one and a 75 in round two to move into day three tied for 19th
- Amanda Leslie is +4 at 148 (73-75 – 148) and is tied with sophomore teammate Rosa Barnak, who shot a consistent 74 in both rounds
- Senior Taylor Morgan, who has witnessed the growth of the squad the last two seasons, shot a 76 in round one and improved that total by two strokes on day to with a 74 (+2)
Next Up
The Owls will return to the course 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday with the mission of closing out the 2019 Fall season with a tournament title.
