TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - (April 7, 2018) - For the second time in eight days, the no. 18 ranked Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team defeated TCU, this time by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The match was part of the Seminole Beach Battle and was halted to due weather after the Sandy Owls clinched the match. FAU's second match of the day vs. UAB was canceled. FAU now stands at 17-12 on the season.

Gabrielle Dischler and Jessalyn Kinlaw gave FAU a 1-0 lead with a 21-18, 21-17 win on court two. The margin increased to 2-0 when Brittany Pellitteri and Julia Lewkowicz took a straight set win at no. 5. TCU cut the cushion in half with a 22-20, 21-15 decision at no. 1. The Sandy Owls clinched the match on account of Nicole Navarro and Kaila Dorish's narrow 15-11 set three triumph on court four. At no. 3, Mackenzie Morris and Erica Brok took a thrilling 35-33 first set win, but dropped the second set and trailed early in the third when action was stopped.
