FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Meghan Bennett paced the Florida Atlantic University women's golf team in the opening round of the 2018 Conference USA Championship in Fort Myers, Fla. on Monday.
Bennett's round of 79 puts her in a tie for 36th overall
Katie Veale, Jennifer Keim and Amanda Leslie followed closely with their opening rounds of 80 to tie for 40th
Tai Barber followed the bunch with her 81 to place in 48th
The Owls sit in 11th overall with a 319 and will look to gain ground on Tuesday before the final round on Wednesday at the Verandah Club.
