MIAMI, Fla. -The no. 18 ranked Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team wrapped up action at the FIU Surf N' Turf Invitational by beating TCU 4-1 on Saturday. The Sandy Owls are now 15-11 on the season.

Brittany Pellitteri and Julia Lewkowicz won in impressive fashion on court five to put FAU up 1-0. Mackenzie Morris and Erica Brok held off a challenge from TCU's no. 3 duo to win 21-18, 21-17. Gabrielle Dischler and Jessalyn Kinlaw also faced fierce resistance from their opponents, and had to work overtime in both sets, but came out victorious to clinch the match for the Sandy Owls The Horned Frogs' (5-18) only win came on court four, where they won a narrow 18-16 outcome in the third set. Amanda Silva and Carly Scarbrough won the first set at no. 1, then dropped the second set, before an injury forced the TCU duo to forfeit. Nicole Grant and Ashlan Cunningham won the exhibition match in straight sets.
