Final Results
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University swimming and diving finished 2018 on a good note at the annual FAU Fun Invite. The Owls hosted nine schools, with Bucknell, Denver, Georgia Tech, Old Dominion, Campbell, Colorado State, Northeastern, Rice and Indian River State making the trip south. FAU had seven swimmers and divers crack the proverbial medal stand, as well as enjoyed 30 top-10 finishes.

Notables:
- The women started the meet off with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard medley relay with a time of 48.83
- Josh Fountain delivered a fourth-place finish in the first individual event of the day in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.83
- Fatimah Westbrook completed the invite with two silver finishes with those coming in the 50-yard breaststroke (29.96) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.68)
- Phillip Crouch touched the wall third in the 50-yard breaststroke with a 27.12 finish
- In the 300-yard freestyle relay, an event unique to the FAU Fun Invite, the Owl men came in fifth (2:22.32). On the women's side, the Owls came up with a sixth-place finish
- There were multiple fifth-place individual finishes for the Owls, including: Braedan Leach in the 100-yard backstroke (53.76), Josh McQueen in the 500-yard freestyle (4:48.22) and Alex Taber in the 100-yard reverse IM (54.97)
- On the springboard, Malvina Catalano took home the gold on the 3-meters (265.05) and captured second in the 1-meter event (239.80)
- Logan Downey swept in the 1- and 3-meter diving events for the second consecutive meet, capturing scores of 274.15 and 263.9, respectively

The Owls will enjoy a week off for the holiday break before getting back to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. where they will face NJIT, NYU and Marywood at FAU Aquatic Center.
