Bowe Qualifies for Long Track Speedskating World Cup

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Former Florida Atlantic University women's basketball player Brittany Bowe will once again represent the USA, this time at the Long Track Speedskating World Cup in November and December after qualifying for the 500m, 1000m and 1500m events.
Bowe competed for USA in the 2018 and 2014 Olympic Winter Games, earning bronze in the Team Pursuit in Pyeongchang. She also competed in the 15000m, 1000m and 500m events. At the World Sprint Championships, she's earned four gold medals, three silver and three bronze.
In her senior campaign at FAU, Bowe dished out a whopping 136 assists for the women's basketball team while grabbing 48 steals and 118 rebounds. She ranked second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.2 points per game. The four-year starter also earned FAU's Most Outstanding Female Athlete honors as a senior. She represented the Owls from 2006-10.
While competing on the hardcourt in the winter, Bowe traveled during the summer as a competitive inline skater. Upon graduation, she turned her interest towards the ice.
The fall world cup season begins Nov. 16-18 in Obihirio, Japan and concludes Dec. 14-16 in Heerenveen, Netherlands.
