BOCA RATON, Fla. –
Sully Zagerman of the Florida Atlantic University men's golf team has been named the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week.
Zagerman led the Owls to a third place finish in the Hummingbird Invitational this week shooting 68-68-71 for six under par. His 207 total score for the tournament is tied for the fifth lowest 54-hole score in program history. The Windermere, Florida native also led all golfers with 15 birides through three rounds of play.
"This is a great accomplishment for Sully," said Head Coach
Ryan Jamison. "I'm looking forward to seeing him continue to get better and grow, as I know this is just the start of things to come."
It was the second career C-USA Golfer of the Week honor for the junior.
Through two tournaments this season, Zagerman is averaging 70.0 strokes per round, which leads the team.
Zagerman and the Owls will be back in action on October 15 and 16 in the 2018 Georgetown Invitational in Beallsville, Maryland.
