Women's Golf Claims FAU Fall Invite Title; Leslie Takes First Overall

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team proved there's no place like home with a dominant performance at the FAU Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Osprey Point Golf Course. The Owls claimed first overall along with the top two individual showings.
QUICK HITS
FAU carded 295-291-293 through the three rounds for a season-low 879 for the tournament. The Owls were tied with Bethune-Cookman following the first round, but took a four-stroke lead into the third round after a season-low score of 291 in the second.
Amanda Leslie was the top overall golfer of the tournament, carding 73-70-69(212) for a two-under par score. It was the junior's first collegiate win. Leslie's third round score of 69 (-3) to win the tournament was tied for the lowest single round score of the tournament.
Taylor Morgan took second place with a one-under par score, carding 70-74-70 through three rounds. The junior's score was a new career low.
Tai Barber was the next Owl finisher with a fifth place showing. She shot 74-72-77 (223) through three rounds.
Jennifer Keim competed in the tournament as an individual and tied for ninth place overall. She recorded 80-75-73 (228) for the tournament.

FAU will conclude the fall season in the Pat Bradley Invitational hosted by FIU in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The tournament is played at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club on October 21-23.
