BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team got back into the win column with a 2-1 victory on Sunday night against Gardner-Webb.
Turning Point:
The Owls (4-3-1) and Gardner-Webb (1-6) swapped goals in the span of 1:35, with Ebba Blomqvist scoring at 17:40, and the Runnin' Bulldogs equalizing at 19:15. FAU took the lead for good off the foot of Mary O'Hara, who notched the game-winner in the 35th minute.
The Finish:
Gardner-Webb had four more shots the rest of the match, three after the break, and goalkeeper Jennifer Ocampo had to only save one shot to cement the win.

The Owls will head out west for two more road matches. The first, the 2017 Conference USA opener, will take place on Friday, Sept. 15 at Rice in Houston, and two days after that, they'll head to Cedar City, Utah, to take on Southern Utah.
