Sanchis and Ocampo Named Players of the Week

Sanchis, a sophomore from Madrid, Spain, scored both FAU goals in a 3-2 loss to N.C. State on Friday. He put the Owls up 1-0 in the 21st minute of the match and then regained the lead when he scored in the 27th, just 12 seconds after the Wolfpack had tied the game.
On Friday night, Ocampo notched her first shutout of the season, turning away five shots in a 3-0 win over Eastern Michigan as part of the FAU Adidas Owl Classic. She followed it up with another shutout on Saturday, making three saves in a 1-0 victory over Valparaiso. Her efforts earned her a spot on the FAU Adidas Owl Classic All-Tournament Team in addition to being named Conference USA Goalkeeper of the Week.
Women's soccer will travel to Fort Myers to face Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and Kent State at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. Men's soccer will play College of Charleston at noon on Friday in its home opener before hosting NJIT at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
