TALLAHASSEE, Fla. â€" The 14^th ranked Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team concluded action at the Staybridge Suites Invitational with losses to no. 4 Florida State and no. 16 TCU, 5-0 and 3-2, respectively.

Match 1 vs. #4 Florida State

Sam Gott and Carly Scarborough lost their exhibition match in straight sets. Ashlan Cunningham and Julia Lewkowicz dropped a 21-14, 21-11 decision on court 5. Nicole Grant and Nicole Navarro won the first set at no. 4, but lost the next two sets to put FSU up 2-0. On court 3, Jazmine Barker and Brittany Pellitteri lost 21-17, 21-16. The tandem of Candace Lacour and Gabby Dischler lost on court 2, 25-13, 21-11. The Owls' top team of Megan Rice and Jessalyn Kinlaw came up short, 21-12, 24-22.

Maja Ristic and Carly Scarborough won the exhibition match in straight sets. Lewkowicz and Cunningham lost 21-13, 21-19 at no. 5. At no. 4, Navarro and Grant took a pair of two-point wins to tie the match 1-1. TCU regained the edge with a straight set win on court 2. Dischler and Lacour took a straight set decision on court 3, leveling the match 2-2. At no. 1, Rice and Kinlaw suffered a straight set loss.
