TEXARKANA, Ark. - The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team is in a three-way tie for 11th after the opening round of the Conference USA Tournament at the Texarkana Country Club.

• Chris Thomas leads the Owls with his 1-over 73, tallying birdies on holes one, two and 12 to place in 13th out of 65 golfers
• Senior Caleb Sibley is close behind with a 2-over 74, sitting in 23rd overall after picking up strokes on the 12th and 17th holes
• Luke Campbell suffered a stretch of three bogies to finish his round of 80 and is tied with teammate Ricky Hendler for 57th overall.
