BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - (March 2, 2017) - A late second half run proved too much for the Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team to overcome in a 79-59 loss to UAB on Thursday. Adonis Filer led the Owls with 15 points, while Ronald Delph added 12.
The Turning Point
Delph hit a jumper with 11:37 to go in the game to pull the Owls (10-18, 6-11 Conference USA) within nine, 57-48. UAB (16-14, 9-8) responded with a 20-7 run to put the contest away.

"These guys (UAB) are tough, they caused us some problems, but I wasn't pleased with the rebounding from our guard position tonight."
