Women's Tennis Handles George Washington 4-1

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team won their second consecutive match with a 4-1 win over George Washington on Tuesday.

• Marisa Ruiz and Lyndsey Boos won their doubles match 6-3 before George Washington came back to take the point over the next two matches. The duo of Ruiz and Boos are now 7-3 on the year
• Ana Gutierrez tied the match as she won her singles point 7-5, 6-1
• Laura Fabrizi followed suit with her 6-1, 6-2 win as the No. 1 to give FAU the 2-1 edge
• Boos took care of business in a 6-3, 6-1 singles match to extend the lead and improved to 5-0 as the No. 2 on the year
• After losing in the first set, Ruiz came back to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 to clinch the match for the Owls
• Both Alisa Rudenko and Naiya Oden were leading their singles matches when play ended
