Men's Hoops Wraps Up Home Schedule

BOCA RATON, Fla. - (Feb. 21, 2017) - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will conclude its 2016-17 home schedule with games against UTEP and UTSA on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. FAU can clinch a berth in the Conference USA tournament this week. Thursday's game is Military Appreciation Day, while Saturday is Senior Day.
Last Week: The Owls (9-16, 5-9 C-USA) split their road trip last week, falling to Louisiana Tech 95-69 on Thursday, but rode Gerdarius Thornton's career-high 25 points to a 94-82 win over Southern Miss on Friday.
History: UTEP has won four of the five previous meetings with FAU, including a narrow 66-65 overtime victory earlier this season in El Paso. The Owls and Roadrunners have split their six previous encounters. UTSA evened the series at three wins apiece with a 68-63 win back on Jan. 12.
