BOCA RATON, Fla. - (Dec. 14, 2017) - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will return to the court following fall exams on Saturday, Dec. 16 when Arkansas State comes to FAU Arena. The Owls will then head to Lubbock to face Texas Tech on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Saturday will be Holiday Toy night at the FAU Arena, where all fans who bring in a canned, non-perishable food item will receive a free toy while supplies last.
Last Week: FAU (6-3) extended its winning streak to four with a pair of wins, defeating Florida Gulf Coast 92-88 on Tuesday night, then recording an impressive 106-46 win over Webber International on Sunday. With the victories, the Owls matched their longest winning streak under Head Coach Michael Curry. In Sunday's contest, FAU set a school record for margin of victory and scored at least 90 points for the fourth game in a row, which had never been done in school history.
History: The Owls and Red Wolves are tied 5-5 in the all-time series. ASU (3-7) won the last meeting 63-38 in Jonesboro back on Jan. 26, 2013, when both schools were members of the Sun Belt Conference. Tuesday's meeting with Texas Tech (8-1) will be the first between the two schools. The Red Raiders are ranked 24th in the latest AP basketball poll.
Coverage: ESPN 106.3 will broadcast both games. Saturday's matchup will tip off at 7 p.m., while Tuesday's tilt at Texas Tech starts at 8 p.m. ET and will also air on Fox Sports Southwest Plus.
