Women's Basketball Hosts Grand Canyon

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team will host Grand Canyon for a Friday night matchup at FAU Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
GAME NOTABLES
FAU (2-3) and Grand Canyon (1-5) met last season for the first time in the series. The Lopes came away with an 81-60 win in Phoenix.
LAST TIME OUT
In their last outing, the Owls hosted three teams for the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament. In the first game, FAU defeated St. Francis Brooklyn, 80-60, behind a 27-point game from senior Sasha Cedeño. The Owls faced Bowling Green State in the championship game and came up short, 66-55.
SCOUTING GRAND CANYON
The Lopes got their first win of the season against Benedictine on Nov. 22. Grand Canyon is led by Brie Mobley, who is averaging 20.3 points per game for the season. In their last outing, GCU suffered a five point loss at Valparaiso.
