BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University volleyball player Sigourney Kame has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the conference office announced on Tuesday. The announcement was made in advance of the Conference USA Volleyball Tournament.
Kame leads the team in kills (363) and kills per set at 3.9. The Paramaribo, Suriname native maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA while majoring in exercise science. It is the third year in a row that FAU has had a player make the C-USA All-Academic Team. Maja Ristic made it each of the previous two seasons.
The Owls will head to Bowling Green, Kentucky, for next weekend's C-USA Tournament as the No. 5 seed and will play UTSA at 8 p.m. Eastern on Friday, Nov. 17. For the most up-to-date information, logon to fausports.com.
