DELAND, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team started its spring slate with a 4-3 win at Stetson on Friday. The Owls took an early advantage, but it took freshman Naiya Oden's singles win to take down the Hatters.
Quotable
"We came out very quickly in the doubles to clinch the first point," FAU Head Coach Marcy Hora-Cava said. "In singles, Ana [Gutierrez] and freshman Laura [Fabrizi] won their matches confidently. The whole match came down to Naiya who was in her third set. She calmly defeated her opponent who put up a good fight. I'm proud of all the players but especially the freshmen who played their first match and didn't show any nerves or hesitations."
