Sell and Fitzgerald Named FAU Student-Athletes of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. - 
Florida Atlantic University Athletics names Chloe Sell ( cross country) and Jason Fitzgerald (soccer) student-athletes of the week, for the week of Sept. 6.
Sell, a graduate student on the FAU women's cross country team was the first Owl to cross the finish line at the 2016 FAU Cross Country Invitational. The Pembroke Pines, Fla. native finished fourth in the meet with a 5K time of 19:11. The meet was Sell's first in almost a year after redshirting the 2015 campaign.
Fitzgerald, a senior from Parkland, Fla., score d the lone goal the Owls needed to defeat Niagara last Friday. His goal came in the 69 th minute of play. FAU returned to the field to play to a 1-1 draw versus Wisconsin on Sunday.
Cross country will participate in the FIT Cross Country Invitational this weekend while the men's soccer team will take some time off before hosting South Carolina in their Conference USA opener on Saturday, Sept. 17.
