BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University's women's tennis team entered the 2016 Conference USA Women's Tennis Championship held in Murfreesboro, Tenn. and hosted by Middle Tennessee as the tournament's No. 12 seed.

In first round action, the Owls fell 4-0 to Marshall University, a No. 5 seed. The Owls dropped No. 1 and No. 2 doubles allowing Marshall to take the double point. Weather then forced the match indoors where Marshall grabbed wins at No.s 1, 2, and 3 to take the match 4-0.
