The No. 16 Florida Atlantic University baseball team will host its first mid-week series, welcoming St. Joseph's to the FAU Baseball Stadium on Tuesday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 9. The Owls rank sixth in the nation in on-base percentage (.434), seventh in double-plays per game (1.4), tenth in win/loss percentage and 12th in batting average (.333).
Southpaw Sean Labsan will get the starting nod on Tuesday, his first official start on the hill this year, after dealing two shutout innings against the St. Louis Cardinals last week. On Wednesday, senior Robbie Coursel will make his first appearance of 2016.
Junior Esteban Puerta ranks fifth in the nation in RBI/game (1.9) and seventh in batting average (.513) The Owls hit 12 doubles last weekend and have scored 86 runs over their ten games to start the year.
