Final Results
Florida Atlantic University men's golf team finished the Legacy by Frontier Secure hosted by Stetson University in ninth place with a final score of 905 after three rounds of play.
Leading the way for the Owls the entire tournament was freshman Jackson Shoenfelt. Shoenfelt moved up six spots in the final round finishing tied for 16th overall after shooting rounds of 77, 73 and a final round of 73 for a total of 223.
Next in for FAU, was senior Michael Perez who moved up nine spots to tie for 22nd with 10-over 226. Ending the first two rounds tied for 36th place, Pablo Gerboles-Parrilla concluded the tournament tied for 25th with a total of 227 after carding a final round of 74.
Individual competitor Caleb Sibley concluded play tied for 48th with rounds of 75, 78 and 81 carding a total of 234 after 52-holes. Senior Derron Peyton shot a 83 in the third round and finishing tied for 50th with a total score of 235. Tied with teammate Peyton was freshman Yuki Fujii after shooting a final round 78 he was able to move up three spots in the final rankings.
The Owls will head to Daytona Beach to compete in the Gary Freeman Spring Invitational hosted by the LPGA starting on March 3rd.
