McIntire Earns Third CCSA Diver of the Week Award

Florida Atlantic University swimming and diving's Ryan McIntire received his third Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Diver of the Week honor after his performance against the University of Denver last week.

The veteran diver again emerged as a team leader in the Owls' meet against Denver last Saturday. With his third win of the year in each event, McIntire took first in both the 1-meter (308.01) and 3-meter (337.57) dives with his highest score so far this season in the latter.

"Throughout his years at FAU, Ryan has continuously showed maturity beyond his years; which he displays through hard work, dedication and the will to make himself, his teammates and the team better every day," said Head Swim and Dive Coach Lara Preacco. "His multiple No. 1 podium achievements, school and personal records are no surprise to anyone close to him. Great Job Ryan."

After the holiday break, the Owls will ring in the New Year at home on Jan. 2 when they host NJIT and Old Dominion at 3:30 p.m. at the FAU Aquatic Center.
