Volleyball to Face Roadrunners in Conference USA Opening Round

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team will head to the Conference USA Tournament in Houston as the no. 5 seed. It's the third year in a row that the Owls have qualified for the C-USA tournament. FAU will face no. 4 seed UTSA at 3 p.m. Eastern on Friday. The winner of that match will face the winner of WKU/UTEP on Saturday. Three Owls earned all-conference recognition, with Maja Ristic and Abbi Reid making the first team and Sigourney Kame being named to the All-Freshman Team.

Last Week: FAU (15-13, 10-4 Conference USA) closed the regular season with sweeps over UAB and Charlotte, snapping a three-match losing streak in the process. Sigourney Kame averaged 3.67 kills and 1.33 digs per set in the two wins, earning C-USA Freshman of the Week honors.

History: UTSA has won all four previous meetings with FAU, including a straight-set victory in San Antonio earlier this season.
