Genesis Viera Named C-USA Setter of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University volleyball player Genesis Viera was named Conference USA Setter of the Week on Monday.
The senior from Toa Baja, Puerto Rico averaged 46 assists in the Owls' two matches last week. She also contributed defensively, tallying a career-high 22 digs in FAU's four-set win over Southern Miss.
Her efforts helped the Owls extend their winning streak to seven. Viera is the second straight FAU volleyball player to earn conference recognition, as Maja Ristic was named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 17.
