Upcoming Event: Swimming & Diving versus Patriot Invitational on November 19, 2025 at All Day

Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming and diving participated in the FIU Invite on Sunday with the men claiming third place out of seven teams with a final score of 470.50 and the women taking fifth out of nine teams with a score of 247.
A total of nine schools participated in this year's event including FIU, Indian River, Keene State, Duquesne, Purdue University, Berry College, The College of Saint Rose, Wheeling Jesuit University.
To start off the day, the women's team of Agnes Bucz, Hannah Roper, Laura Conoscenti and Katie Dodge claimed seventh place in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:49.68. In the same event, the men's group of John Brennock, John Nolte, Malachi Oakes and Matthieu Burtez took fourth place in 1:34.74.
The next event was the 200 free in which Katie Dodge was the women's top finisher coming in 18th place with a time of 1:59.54. Freshman Lydia Musleh had a strong showing in the same event finishing just behind Dodge in 19th place with a time of 1:59.57. Musleh also competed in the 100 free, 50 and 100 fly where she finished in 16th (54.81), 25th (27.94) and in 16th place (54.81).
Senior Agnes Bucz had strong performances in the 100 free and 100 IM with two top 10 finishes for the women's team. Bucz finished tied for 10th in the 100 free with a final time of 54.08, and claimed fourth place in the 100 IM with a final time of 59.60.
Another strong performance from the women's side came from junior Hannah Roper. Roper claimed two top 10 finishes in the 50 and 100 breast, finishing seventh (31.56) and eighth place (1:06.93).
Coming from the men's side there was several stand outs that had great performances. Sophomore John Brennock had four top 10 finishes, coming in the 50 and 100 back, 50 free and 100 IM. Brennock finished 3rd overall in the 50 back with a final time of 24.52, seventh in the 100 back (52.79), sixth place in the 50 free (21.70), and ninth in the 100 IM (53.72).
Other top performers were junior John Nolte and senior Matthieu Burtez. Nolte finished third overall in the 100 IM with a final time of 53.21, and also claimed a fourth place finish in the 50 fly (23.64). In the 100 breast, Nolte finished 11th overall finishing in 59.78. Burtez claimed three top-10 finishes on the day. With a fourth place finish in the 200 free (1:42.97), 50 free (21.50), and a 10th place finish in the 100 IM (53.97).
Next up for the Owls, the women's team will host Miami University on January 16th here in Boca Raton.
