PROVIDENCE, R.I. â€" The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team suffered just its second loss of the season on Sunday as the Owls (6-2) dropped a 1-0 contest at Brown.
FAU took 15 shots to Brown's 13 in the contest, but allowed a lone goal, snapping a streak of 198 consecutive shutout minutes.
In the 13th minute, Brown's Jillian DeSimone took advantage of a punt deflection and scored from 20-yards out for the only score of the contest.
FAU keeper Sydney Drinkwater, boasting an .881 save percentage on the year, made five saves in the game.
The Owls took four of the last five shots in the game, including a last-second attempt by Jade Rhodes that was blocked, but couldn't find the back of the net.
