DEKALB, Ill. -- The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Loyola University-Chicago on Sunday. The match was part of the NIU Adidas Invitational, hosted by Northern Illinois.
The game was a defensive-oriented one, with the two teams combining for just 15 shots in the match, and only two on goal. LUC's Kyle Thomson converted a penalty kick in the 82nd minute for the only goal of the match.
Aaron Laranetto, Albion Neziri, Jason Fitzgerald, Patrick Darby and Finn Crozier recorded shots for the Owls. Fitzgerald's shot was the only one to make it on goal.
Aaron Laranetto and Daniel Montoya were named to the all-tournament team.
