BOCA RATON, Fla. (July 20, 2015) -- Florida Atlantic University head men's basketball coach Michael Curry released the team's 2015-16 schedule on Monday.
The Owls will open their season with a game at Michigan State on Friday, Nov. 13. Warner will come to FAU Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 17 in the Owls' regular-season home opener. FAU will take part in the Men Against Breast Cancer Classic from Friday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 22, hosted by Miami of Ohio. "It's an exciting schedule, but a challenging one as well," said Curry. "We feel that our non-conference games, especially the tournament at Miami of Ohio and the back-to-back games at Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee, will prepare us well for conference play as well as the conference tournament."
FAU will travel to East Carolina to face the Pirates on Tuesday, Dec. 1 before returning home to host Ave Maria on Thursday, Dec. 10. The Owls will play four straight games away from FAU Arena, including a game at Tennessee, as well as a matchup against Florida State in the Orange Bowl Classic before rounding out 2015 at home against Tennessee-Martin on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
Conference USA play begins with a road game at rival FIU on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016. The Owls open their C-USA home schedule against Southern Miss on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016. FAU will wrap up the regular season with a three-game homestand against FIU and Middle Tennessee, with the final game against UAB on Saturday, March 5.
The 2016 C-USA Basketball Tournament will take place in Birmingham, Ala., from Tuesday, March 8 through Saturday March 12 and will be hosted by UAB.
All FAU games will be carried on fausports.com and on ESPN West Palm 106.3, which has an APP for the Smart Phone platform. Season tickets are already on sale and can be purchased by contacting the FAU Ticket Office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
