After three rounds of play, the Florida Atlantic University women's golf team finished 11th at the Conference USA Women's Golf Championship with a total score of 985.
Middle Tennessee claimed victory with a team-total of 857 (-7), while FIU's Meghan MacLaren took the individual win shooting 206.
Heather Netti came back to be the Owls' top finisher after tying her season-low round of 74 on the third day of play. She finished 47th after improving by six strokes from her second round of 80. The sophomore had birdies on the par-four first and 12th holes and the par-five fifth.
After shooting a season-low 75 in round two, Emily Peters finished in 51st place with a three-round total of 244. The junior birdied the par-three 11th hole on the final day of competition. Senior Nicole Marino moved up two spots to end play in 52nd with a total stroke count of 252. She shot a tournament-best third round of 78 with two birdies.
Sophomore Yumi Fujii and freshman Jessica McMillan took 53rd and 55th after shooting 93 and 90, respectively. Both golfers had one birdie on the day.
The team will resume play in the fall of 2015.
