BOCA RATON, Fla. -
Florida Atlantic University softball's Kylee Hanson and baseball's CJ Chatham earned FAU Player of the Week honors.
Hanson continued her dominance as of late, throwing a complete game, four-hit shutout in the 3-0 win over Marshall on Saturday. With the win, the sophomore extended her personal shutout streak to 20 innings and has only allowed nine hits during that time, and just two for extra bases. For the season, she has a 13-3 record with a 1.69 ERA. This is her fourth FAU Player of the Week honor this season.
Chatham led the No. 14 FAU baseball team to a 3-1 record on the week. The sophomore shortstop drove in six runs and scored four times. Chatham had an RBI double at FGCU as one of his three in the game. He reached base in each game over the weekend at Southern Miss, driving in a pair of runs in the first game and scoring in the second game of the doubleheader on Friday. Sunday, Chatham went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a double and a run scored.
Softball will host their final home games of the season beginning with a doubleheader against Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. and then a three-game series versus Conference USA opponent UTSA starting on Saturday, April 25 at 6 p.m. Baseball will face Miami in Coral Gables on Wednesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. and will then host conference foe Old Dominion in a three-game series with the first game on Friday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m.
