Final Tournament Results

Florida Atlantic University men's golf team moved up two spots after day one to earn seventh place out of 18 teams at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular hosted by George Mason.

Junior Derron Peyton was the team's top finisher tying for 13th after shooting a tournament-low third round of 70 for a total of 220. Connor O'Rourke followed tying for 16th with rounds of 76, 73, and 73.

Cody Christensen, who was tied for 39th after day one, moved up to tie for 27th with a three-round total of 11-over 216. Senior Pablo Gerboles-Parrilla tied for 61st place with a total stroke count of 237. Michael Perez was the Owls' fifth tying for 71st with a total of 239 and shooting a tournament-low third round of 73.

Virginia Tech remained in first at the conclusion of the tournament with a total of 861 (-3). Although the individual first place finisher was Austin Powell from Pennsylvania with a total of 210 (-4).

The Owls will host the annual FAU Slomin Autism Championship on March 27-29 at the Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth, Fla. The opening ceremony will be held on Thursday, March 26 at 11:30 a.m. at the Fountains.
