BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic women's tennis beat the Butler Bulldogs on Wednesday 6-1, to improve to 9-4 on the season. FAU has won seven of their last eight matches, including three in a row.

FAU head coach Marcy Cava knew this would be a tough stretch for her team.

"I couldn't be more proud of how my team handled all theses consecutive matches" said Cava.

"We are united and determined to be the best we can be."

The FAU duo of Catalina Ene and Lyndsey Boos defeated Kylie Haviland and Konstantina Adami 6-3 to improve to 7-0 on the season. The FAU senior duo of Stephanie Cardullo and Taylor Briggs defeated Kailey Eaton and Bailey Padgett 6-2 to secure the doubles point.

In singles Ene defeated Kylie Haviland 6-4, 7-6 (10-4) in the number one position. FAU's Cardullo defeated Bailey Padgett 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 and FAU senior Natalia Tomaszewicz defeated Konstantina Adami 7-6 (10-4), 6-3. FAU sophomore Bianca Biglione continued her hot streak defeating Angelina Qin improving her win streak to 8 and her overall record to 11-1. FAU freshman Jennifer Leib defeated Rachel Sutton for her third consecutive win. Leib is 3-0 on the season.

FAU returns to action Saturday March 14, at 3 p.m. against Conference USA foe Southern Miss.
